The Budget Surplus



Tennessee has a large backlog of capital maintenance and improvement projects due to the lean budget years during the Bredesen and Sundquist administrations.


Hundreds of capital projects were delayed until another day. Governor Haslam used a large amount of the budget surplus to complete these projects.

Budget Information



The Fiscal Review Committee is a legislative oversight committee that oversees a staff of economists and accountants who analyze legislation and state government.

Rep. Susan Lynn has been elected to serve two terms on this committee.
